Managing expectations, exercising self-care, building self-identity in the face of uncertainties, developing life meaning, and accepting loss and lack of control, are fundamental to maintaining healthy relationships and reslience. The focus of my work is supporting adults and couples in making positive changes toward greater life balance, resilience, and acceptance, while exploring meaning and purpose, in order to live authentically.

My training and my own personal experiences makes me particularly committed and well-suited to supporting caregivers, couples, parents, grieving adults, and mothers facing perinatal mood and anxiety issues.

Since October 2016, I have served as a Resident in Counseling under the supervision of Thomas F. Lamp, LPC (VA #0701004499), at New Directions Counseling Group, in Falls Church, VA. The focus of my Falls Church-based private-practice is supporting teens, adults, and couples facing issues of grief, depression, anxiety, caregiving, relationship conflict, life transitions, betrayal, and prenatal and postpartum depression and anxiety disorders (PMADs).
I provide meaning-centered therapy for adults, couples, and groups using supportive and evidence-based treatments.  For those with a Christian faith-based perspective and orientation, I am happy to integrate and offer Christian faith-based counseling.  As your counselor, I will provide you the safe space to explore your values, grief, thoughts, and feelings and receive nonjudgmental professional support.
